Flagstone floor

For the kitchen, I decided to make flagstone floors. As with the herringbone floor, I was not in a hurry and could sit evening after evening. It was by then winter, cold and dark. I like these instruction movies where they show you the first and the last stage of a process, making it look easy and quick. It was easy to make the flagstones, but it took a long time. I needed three hundred of individual pieces. They are made of clay, rolled out - uneven to look like flagstone - cut and painted.

And finally

This is what it looked like when I put the floor into the cabinet.
